Micro-Investing

Investing is not about buying stocks. Investing is using $1.00 to make $2.00. It is about spending five minutes one day so you have have 10 extra minutes the next day. You don't need $1000 to start investing. Take $5 and buy something that will save you $10.

Read below to see my findings every ROI (return on investment) Friday.

If you have MONEY to invest, look at the ROI. If you have TIME to invest, look at the Hourly Wage.

Return on Investment ($$$)

If I invest $1 and get back $2, I've earned a 100% return on my investment. Below is what I've earned on some of my projects. A $4/hr. wage has been subtracted for my time so these returns are more accurate.

Growing Herbal Tea- 2090%*
Selling vintage patterns on Ebay- 827%
Making Yogurt-
338%*
Growing Garlic- 338%
Using Cloth Napkins- 173%
My first year selling baked goods- 74%*

*Hourly wage NOT subtracted

Hourly Wage

You can know if something is "worth your time" by calculating an hourly wage.

Growing Garlic- $31.00/hr.
Selling vintage patterns on Ebay- $17.53/hr.
Making Yogurt- $15.04
Making Cloth Napkins- $10.92/hr.

Growing Herbal Tea- $2.40/hr.
My first year selling baked goods- $1.68/hr.
